The T1 is the first model in the new T range from Pro-Ject Audio Systems, a product born with the aim of providing true High Fidelity sound on a limited budget. Equipped with high-quality materials and a highly stylish aesthetic, the T1 is the result of an exhaustive development process that has ensured that there is no compromise in terms of sound performance despite its extraordinarily affordable price.
Thus, the elegant base with high precision numerical machining does not include any plastic elements and has been carefully manufactured to ensure that there are no hollow spaces inside, thus preventing unwanted vibrations from occurring inside the chassis. Taking this philosophy to the entire assembly, we find a glass platter based on a high mass design free of resonances, which, again, allows us to avoid the weak points of plastic or alternative materials such as light steel.
Of the T1, which uses belt drive, it is also worth highlighting a state-of-the-art “subplatter” mounted on an ultra-high precision turning system with a hardened steel shaft, which rests on a brass bushing, a solution used in the renowned Essential III turntables from Pro-Ject itself. As for the tonearm itself, it is a new model based on previous Pro-Ject designs.
With an effective length of 8.6” and a rigid aluminum construction, this one-piece arm also includes a low-friction swivel system to ensure absolute precision in operation.
