Pro-Ject X8 Special Edition

The X8B turntable is a true high-end solution with important technical features adapted from the Xtension 9 and 10.

The TPE cushioned mass loaded platter is high precision and is machined and balanced from a single piece of aluminum, held by a neodymium magnet that decreases and measures the load on the bearing, this leads to a smoothly rotating base for perfect speed stability.

The Ject 9cc EVO carbon arm has been ported to the X8 as well. The main differences with the Xtension 9 and 10 are on the top of the main plate and the magnetic feet. Instead of the vinyl top glued to the plate, we go back to using non-slip mats.

The X8B comes with our felt dart mat. On the Xtension 9 and 10 you can't really play around with using different mats because of the vinyl top. This customization capability returns to the X8 and offers a few more options to tailor the sound to your taste.

The new feet are made of aluminum and allow for adjustable height adjustment. The magnetic suspension has been changed to a TPE damping technology, which is very effective in decoupling the X8 from the surface on which it is placed. This is a great option for a tighter budget as the new feet are quicker and easier to set up than magnetic feet and also require less maintenance.

Of course, we offer a great MC moving coil cartridge, Ortofon Quintet Black, included in the price.
