We went on to create the Alva TT V2, with a direct drive system, a custom MC capsule, a new arm and high-resolution Bluetooth with an integrated phono preamp, both switchable.
Alva TT V2 is for those who want to listen to records in exceptional quality, without having to choose or include additional components. TT V2 has a custom designed cartridge pre-installed. Plus, it connects to almost all audio systems, as they have built-in interchangeable phono preamps. They even work wirelessly with high-quality Bluetooth speaker systems.
Built-in aptX HD Bluetooth separates Alva from the rest of your hi-fi devices. By having the freedom to place an Alva deck on any flat surface, your records will be the stars. Your music can be streamed to any Bluetooth device, including headphones, at high resolution up to 24bit/48kHz. Or you can turn it off and just use phono cables, it's up to you.
Alva TT V2 has a built-in phono preamp (phono preamplifier), inspired by our award-winning Alva Duo, to reveal incredible details from your records. This means you can connect TT V2 to any compatible speaker or amplifier system. Likewise, you can deactivate the deck's phono preamp, something very useful if your amplifier already has one or to leave improvement options open.
The Alva TT V2 custom cartridge comes already installed, so it doesn't have a complicated setup and its sound blends perfectly with the other components of the turntable. We have designed a high-performance moving coil (MC) cartridge with an exposed cantilever. Reduces unwanted resonance and vibration, offers high-level performance and extraordinary musical nuances during playback.
Alva TT V2 has a medium torque direct drive motor, like its predecessor, the TT. The motor is 8 pole, 3 phase, quartz controlled brushless DC motor to ensure the precise speed of the turntable. With precision control and quiet operation, the Alva TT V2 achieves just 0.06% jitter and tremolo. This results in excellent tuning stability, especially during longer, sustained musical notes.
To complement the direct drive motor, the Alva TT V2's tray looks like an excellently polished stone. It is made of polyoxymethylene, a semi-crystalline thermoplastic used in precision engineering applications that require great hardness and dimensional stability. The weight of the platter, combined with our medium torque direct drive motor ensures excellent speed stability during disc playback.
After many hours of testing, our engineers selected a new high-volume, low-resonance tonearm for the Alva TT V2 and Alva ST. By reducing the resonance frequencies, and combined with the capsule, you can recover maximum detail from your records. A removable cast aluminum cover makes it easy to change cartridges, and tunes with greater precision thanks to the anti-slip device.
A record collection can last a lifetime, why not a turntable? We have created Alva TT V2 to last, starting with a 6 mm aluminum top plate, and a layer of EVA to absorb the vibration of the MDF case. It is attached to an integrated chassis and weighs about 10.9 kg. A solid and reliable construction with great acoustic quality.
Finished with a lunar gray aluminum top plate and a matte black plinth, which tapers to our signature mobile base, Alva TT V2 is a tribute to the classic style of our house. It's the perfect match for our successful CX series hi-fi systems and features the brand's laser-engraved logo, just like our Edge series.
Keep your new Alva turntable's perfectly balanced tonearm and aluminum top plate pristine when you don't want to play any more records, thanks to its foldable dust cover. It's easy to lift, lower, remove and reattach, it's up to you.
