The Damp it offers similar features to its older brother Absorb it, but without the high-quality aluminum casing. Designed to be placed under bookshelf speakers or the original feet of sensitive equipment such as turntables, record players, tube amplifiers and other components.
Damp it prevents the transmission of vibrations when placed on vibrating surfaces such as glass, metal or thin wood panels. When Damp it is used for both the bookshelf speakers and the turntable, you can play up to 30% louder without the risk of acoustic feedback.
Surfaces are usually excited by speakers, subwoofers or simply by the low frequency emission caused by road traffic and transformers. Speaker cabinets and almost all stands of audio devices such as turntables, amplifiers, record players are not designed to sufficiently isolate the frequency ranges that really matter.
Damp consists of a high-tech synthetic rubber material, which dampens a wide range of frequencies from infrasonic to 500 Hz and therefore effectively prevents the transmission of sound born from the structure.
