Hegel's massive H30A mono power amplifier delivers over 1,100W of power into 8 ohms and can easily power any speaker in the world. The H30A uses a new and improved version of the patented Hegel SoundEngine amplification technology. This further reduces all types of distortion. In addition to improving with SoundEngine technology, we are also using the highest possible level of Hegel FET technology in the input stage and voltage gain stage. This technology reduces a very specific type of distortion called Harmonic Distortion. This particular type of distortion causes what many people call “transistor sound”, and this is drastically reduced on the H30. It will simply let the music come to you in a different way than you have experienced before.
The H30A has a fully balanced output stage that reduces and cancels distortion. Furthermore, the H30A has a much more advanced input stage and voltage gain stage and uses the special combination of JFET and MOS-FET transistors. This further reduces higher order harmonic distortion. The output transistors are of high quality and with less distortion than other more common ones. In addition to this, the use of dual transformers reduces mechanical noise.
