A pair of Edge M monoblock power amplifiers have the power in reserve necessary for even the most demanding speakers with power and clarity. Because each Edge M is fully balanced, from input to output, they are immune to noisy distortion and can reproduce music exactly as the artist intended: without adding or subtracting anything, and at any volume.
Although minimalist on the outside, the Edge M has a complex audio system inside. To remove the barriers that separate you from the music, we've worked hard to minimize the number of components in the signal path. As a result, the Edge M offers a more faithful reproduction of the original recording; a three-dimensional sound with an impressive level of detail and surprising staging and concentration. We are pioneers in the use of toroidal transformers in amplifiers, which has achieved better performance.
With the Edge series we go one step further, using double toroidal transformers of opposite symmetry. This cancels out electromagnetic interference, while delivering exceptional power and maintaining consistent tonality at any volume. Using standard Class A amplification technology was not going to be efficient enough for the Edge M.
Instead, we've added a bias voltage to a traditional Class AB design, reducing distortion to make it inaudible to the human ear. Additionally, this unique configuration produces less heat and makes the entire system much more efficient. Edge systems are designed to work in perfect harmony.
