We have expanded our Pro-Ject Pick it line and are pleased to announce the Pick it MC3 as part of our new, comprehensive range of MC cartridges. Our goal was to create capsules that technically match our arms and achieve our vision of sound.
Each Pick it MC pursues a different sonic character, but they all follow the same main goal of preserving accurate and musical reproduction of vinyl records. The Pick it MC3 is a multipurpose cartridge that offers a powerful and dynamic sound optimized for pop and rock, but also for great orchestral classics.
The Pick it MC3 uses a Pro-Ject -specific "hyperspherical" stylus to collect micro-information from your vinyl records. The cantilever is cryogenically treated, which realigns the crystal structure and allows for smoother signal transmission. The crossover coil is made of ARMCO pure iron with 6N crystal copper linear winding. It offers an output voltage of 0.4 mV and works best with a tracking force of 2 grams/mN.
The body of the Pick it MC3 is made from anodized aluminum in a beautiful steel blue finish ensuring superior build quality and rigidity. The 1/2 inch mounting standard allows for easy top mounting with the threaded mounting holes. The included clear stylus guard easily slides over the cartridge from the bottom to protect the stylus when needed.
We were able to source high quality Japanese parts to design this excellent capsule. Assembly and quality control is carried out in Europe to guarantee the highest possible sound quality.
You will find all the necessary tools, such as screws and hex keys, in the box to assemble the MC3. We recommend one of our "Mesure it" and "Align it" tracking force gauges to properly adjust the force and achieve the highest possible performance.
