The first Layla was released as a custom headphone in 2014 and instantly became known as the "holy grail" of audiophiles. Since then, there have been two limited edition releases from Layla, "Carbon Fiber Edition" and "Full Metal Jacket". Each generation surprised the market as the industry's first full carbon fiber headset and then the first full titanium headset available.
The latest and third generation is the most exciting yet: Layla AION. 12 drivers per side: Proprietary Quad Low, Quad Mid and Quad High balanced armature. The 3D printed chambers house the 12-driver setup and implement frequency phase technology, allowing for a smaller case design without affecting sound quality. Patented technology ensures correct phase and time alignment of all frequencies, resulting in the most accurate music reproduction of any headphone available. The recessed tube system keeps sweat away and alleviates the need for excessive cleaning. Each Layla AION begins as a block of carbon fiber formed by compressing hundreds of layers of carbon fiber fabric with resin. After undergoing an initial machining process and then a secondary manual shaping process, the Layla AION is precision-fitted using state-of-the-art equipment and assembled by hand.
