Esoteric N-05XD

Combining streaming, DAC and preamplifier functionality, the N-05XD is a distinguished piece of engineering featuring some of Esoteric 's latest technical innovations. This is the case of the “Master Sound Discrete DAC”, a D/A conversion scheme entirely designed by the Japanese firm, in whose conception the nuances inherent to the music recording and mixing processes have been taken into account, in order to gain sound presence and warmth while maintaining tonal precision.

Another key element of the N-05XD is the networking circuitry that it incorporates, specifically designed for audio applications, to which must be added a regulated linear power supply that includes several specialized toroidal transformers and an independent system for the control sections and the function display.

Esoteric 's new network music player also includes audiophile-grade line preamplification circuitry, including one of the brand's complex and precise QVCS volume attenuators and an output separator stage equipped with the celebrated HCLD circuit, whose incredible “slew rate” of 2,000 V/us provides the N-05XD with extraordinary dynamic capacity.

The N-05XD is completed with the powerful Sound Stream control app exclusive to the Japanese firm, an all-metal construction in line with Esoteric 's usual perfectionism.
