The Illusion ESL C34A is an impeccably built hybrid electrostatic/electrodynamic central speaker with bass amplification that breaks ground with respect to other similar models developed by Martin Logan herself. Specifically designed to be placed directly on the floor and equipped with the latest in electroacoustic and acoustic technology from the Kansas firm, the Illusion ESL C34A shines especially for the highly studied configuration of transducers it uses, organized along a curvilinear front panel. slightly inclined towards the listener and combining a total of seven speakers of three different types organized on two levels.

In a panel that separates these areas there are, arranged vertically, two tweeters with a folded diaphragm - "Folded Motion" - developed by Martin Logan that allow, thanks to the particular arrangement of its diaphragm, to combine high lightness, compact dimensions and a very high emissive area. extensive, thus providing the Illusion ESL C34A with exceptional response speed and dispersion in the high area.
The new Martin Logan is completed with four woofers arranged side by side in a separate asymmetrical non-resonant enclosure that occupies its lower half. This enclosure also houses dedicated amplification electronics – only for the aforementioned speakers – that delivers 250 continuous watts (500 peak watts). For its part, the frequency divider filter that manages the Illusion ESL C34A consists of circuits made entirely with audiophile grade components of the highest quality to which we must add a preamplification section - which is used with the woofer amplifier - based on a digital signal processor (DSP) with 24-bit technology.
