The Emotiva A-400Z stage is designed to provide stereo sound for up to 4 separate rooms, two medium-sized or a single large one. It has switches per channel on its front to mechanically activate or deactivate any of the 4 available channels. It is designed to support long cable lengths and can stably support impedance loads less than 2 ohms. Its 100W RMS at 8 ohms per channel and its class A/B performance more than guarantee dynamics and tonal richness above most multichannel stages with class D performance.
