The E-Glo Petit phono preamplifier is an ultra-compact electronics with an attractive design and meticulous construction - an aluminum enclosure topped by two beautiful wooden side panels - that borrows the technical solutions of its older brother, the sensational E-Glo, to put in the hands of the demanding amateur a sophisticated, powerful and affordable tool that allows them to get the most out of any pickup capsule. The starting point of the new phono preamp from EAT is a hybrid circuit topology circuitry, based on rigorously selected 12AX7 tubes, complemented by very high quality discrete components. To this is added a power supply specially designed so that the aforementioned vacuum valves are kept at their optimum operating temperature at all times. This source includes an elaborate regulation and filtering circuitry of which very special 2SK209 low noise J-FET transistors are part in a quadruple configuration, which allow the small EAT exhibit an absolutely unusual signal-to-noise ratio in a vacuum tube-based preamplifier. In line with what its big brother offers, the adjustment possibilities offered by the E-Glo Petit are extraordinarily generous whether using moving coil (MC) or moving magnet (MM) capsules, to the point that they allow optimization the performance of practically any capsule available on the market.
