Streamer

The MX-Stream is defined as a universal networking “transport” that can access any music streaming service to send – via a Class 2 USB connection – the relevant content to an integrated amplifier or DAC.

In terms of engineering, the key element of the MX-Stream is that all of its digital circuitry has been designed from scratch, with separate power supplies and voltage stabilization for the different printed circuit boards. Likewise, an advanced resynchronization scheme is available, to the point that even the main CPU (Central Processing Unit) is governed by a clock optimized for audio applications, a detail absolutely unprecedented in conventional streaming solutions.

On the other hand, each incoming digital signal is cleaned from the beginning, meaning that all audio files are optimized before playback by being stripped of any possible unwanted noise. Furthermore, the use of optimized software has allowed Musical Fidelity engineers to push the potential of the hardware used to the limit, the result being the first “transport” for streaming with a practically zero “jitter” rate. Another essential element of MX-Stream is the open nature of its architecture, which thanks to its compatibility with any open software source guarantees its validity over time.

After years of research and development, we are proud to launch our MX-DAC with DSD. With its technical innovation, excellent technical performance and excellent build quality, the new MX DAC offers optimal value for money.

The MX-DAC has ultra-low distortion, very wide bandwidth and very low noise. The technical performance of the MX-DAC is on par with any other DAC at any price. Jitter is approximately 12pps, s/n ratio is -116dB ('A' weighted), linearity is +0.2 dB at -116 dB, stereo separation is -104dB at 1kHz, response The frequency is flat and the distortion is 0.00025% at 1kHz and 0.0003% at 20kHz.

These technical figures are outstanding and show that our implementation is almost perfect, ensuring completely neutral and accurate digital-to-analog conversion of any digital input. The MX DAC has inputs for: 2 x coaxial (up to 24-bit 192 kHz PCM), 2 x optical (up to 24-bit 192 kHz PCM) and USB asynchronous up to 24-bit 192 kHz PCM, as well as DSD 64 and DSD 128. Additionally, all inputs, whether from coaxial, optical or USB, are processed in the DSD domain.

This desirable feature lends a warmth and humanity to the sound that simple digital conversion does not achieve. The MX DAC has single and balanced outputs. The new MX range has a pleasant aesthetic and impeccable build quality. The front panel and housing are made of high quality extruded aluminum.
