The MicroLine® VM740ML needle cartridge is a high-end model in the 700 series of the VM cartridge line from Audio-Technica, a line that harks back to Audio Technica's beginnings as a specialist manufacturer of high-end phono cartridges, but also incorporates today's advanced technology.
Like all VM cartridges, the VM740ML is equipped with two magnets that match the left and right channel positions of the stereo disc groove, ensuring outstanding channel separation and increased frequency response.
The capsule's MicroLine® stylus allows it to follow the groove of the record with incredible precision, resulting in a nuanced sound reproduction that elliptical and conical styli simply cannot offer. The multi-layer stylus shape wears more evenly than other styli, which also reduces disc wear. Mounting hardware included.
