True to Ortofon 's tradition of offering the best transduction systems for reading all types of vinyl records, the Quintet Mono is the company's answer to those enthusiasts looking for a high quality/price ratio moving coil capsule to reproduce their most precious monophonic recordings with the utmost realism. A genuine monophonic design, the Quintet Mono mounts a special ABS-based thermoplastic body developed for the Quintet range, a Nude elliptical stylus in the distinctive ABS-based thermoplastic body, which is an excellent solution for the reproduction of monophonic vinyl records with microgrooves.

Thanks to the sophistication of its moving system, the Quintet Mono will read even warped or damaged records perfectly, while ensuring effective control of surface noise. The Quintet Mono uses a configuration fine-tuned by Ortofon (with high-purity silver windings) to deliver the same output signal on either of its two pairs of connectors, eliminating the need for dedicated components for reading monophonic discs and thus allowing the latter to be played with any conventional stereo system.
