The C15i is a subwoofer designed for custom installation in large rooms, both indoors and outdoors under cover.
Its bass reflex rear output enclosure incorporates a 15" woofer with an advanced driver. The 75 mm diameter aluminium voice coil uses an interleaved sandwich system with windings on both the outer and inner surfaces to achieve a mass balanced coil.
The result is a linear motor with excellent control and very low distortion even at full power. The magnetic structure has been optimised using a CAD FEA resource that maximises the flux density in the air gap of the coil for optimum clarity.
Excellent thermal dissipation has also been achieved by incorporating air channels between the basket and the magnetic top plate, which significantly reduces power compression and therefore improves dynamics.
The C15i is designed to be powered by Cornered DSP amplifiers.
