Kef engineers have designed the KF92 subwoofer with the same guideline they apply when designing their speakers: recreate the recorded sound as faithfully as possible. Articulation and immense power combine with a dual driver with force-canceling configuration to provide more depth, more dynamics and more details, unlocking total depth.

Able to add body to a double bass or impact to a tremor or explosion, the KF92 ensures that you not only feel the movement of the air, but that the sound moves you. KF92 features two 9-inch woofers, based on the same design used for R series speakers. Its drivers feature a large motorized system and aerated voice coil design, so the resulting linearity and extremely low distortion ensure every detail is revealed regardless of the volume.

The two drivers have been placed in opposition to each other, in a force canceling design. This cancels out reactive forces, minimizing enclosure vibration. This configuration helps deliver high sound pressure levels of up to 110 dB; This is an immense amount of volume in a small sealed enclosure. The power in a subwoofer is a lot to make the sound bigger.

Its class-leading 1000W audiophile amplifier (a dedicated 500W amplifier for each driver) generates immense amounts of power, filling the space with incredible icontrol levels, improving timing accuracy and dynamic response, delivering more detailed sound, closer to what is heard in the studio.

The Musical Integrity Engine (MIE) developed by Kef incorporates Intelligent Bass Extension (iBX) technology that analyzes the input signal and applies custom digital signal processing (DSP) to optimize the relationship between amplification, drivers and The enclosure.
