The starting point for REL's new Ti Series is an attractive, compact subwoofer in which the combination of transducers, enclosures and filtering technologies at an unprecedented price sets a new benchmark in affordable subwoofer reproduction systems. First of all, the presence of a thin absorbent sheet in the central area of the speaker cone and made of metal alloy stands out, which allows increasing its rigidity while reducing weight. The result is an extension of the response and an increase in punch without affecting the musicality that characterizes the REL Acoustics designs. This improvement in the transducers has given rise to another advantage in terms of engineering: the realignment of the active speaker on the front panel with its passive counterpart now located in the lower area. On the other hand, increasing the internal volume by 8% by almost imperceptibly modifying the depth of each enclosure makes it possible to achieve an increase in the extension of the response curve and, therefore, deeper bass. The connectivity options allowed by the T/5i are also very extensive, with high-level and line connectors on the one hand and, optionally, the possibility of wireless connection through the exclusive Aero protocol from REL Acoustics.
