This versatile compact two-way, three-speaker, one passive, wall-mounted monitor is a new design in a series that adopts the values that inspired its celebrated predecessor, the Olympica, while incorporating a spectacular amount of cutting-edge technological developments.
Thus, the panels used in the Olympica Nova Wall are made of eight layers of bent and pressed wood that provide extreme rigidity to the enclosure, with carefully placed structural ribs used inside as reinforcement to reduce vibration and handle the full acoustic power generated by the movement of the speakers.
The front panel is made of hand-finished natural wood to enhance the entire enclosure, with real leather panelling also applied around the tweeter and mid/bass speakers. In terms of the electro-acoustic technology employed, the Olympica Nova Wall features a silk dome tweeter with the Italian brand's DAD (Damped Apex Dome) technology accompanied by an active mid/bass speaker derived from the one used in the Homage Tradition collection and an identical passive one to extend the bass response without compromising placement flexibility.
The active midwoofer features a cone that benefits from a sophisticated sandwich structure in which two sheets of cellulose pulp flank a state-of-the-art syntactic foam core. The management of this set of loudspeakers is entrusted to a frequency divider filter based on the exclusive "Paracross Topology' of Sonus Faber, which allows to substantially reduce the sensitivity to radio frequency interference, improving the response to transients and reducing background noise.
