Considered the best product of its kind created by Brinkmann, the Taurus incorporates, like the Oasis and Bardo models, the exclusive magnetic field motor tailor-made for the German firm, as well as the brand's signature smooth speed control and sophisticated subplatter. From there, we find such interesting new features as a massive 40 mm thick Duraluminium chassis inspired by the Balance model from Brinkmann, which allows the Taurus to deliver deeper, more visceral bass combined with the dynamic agility and powerful starting torque that characterise all of the German company's direct-drive turntables. The chassis has been optimised in terms of resonance control to expel mechanical noise and allow for the extraordinarily low noise floor that has earned the German company's turntables their reputation.
The development of the Spyder model, specifically the ability of the Spyder to easily add or remove playback arms, led Brinkmann to develop a unique system that allows the Taurus to become a two-arm turntable and vice versa (i.e. from two arms to a single arm), supporting virtually any arm length between 9 and 12 inches available on the market. Like all other turntables from Brinkmann, the Taurus is equipped with the renowned Performance Power Supply.
