Cambridge Audio Alva TT V2

You've been building the perfect record collection for years, searching for hidden gems in shops and on the web, because you love music. This common interest didn't allow us to stop with Alva TT.

We went on to create Alva TT V2, with a direct drive system, a custom MC capsule, a new arm and high-resolution Bluetooth with an integrated phono preamp, both of which are switchable.

Alva TT V2 is for those who want to listen to records in exceptional quality, without having to choose or include additional components. TT V2 is pre-installed with a custom-designed cartridge. In addition, it connects to almost all audio systems, as they have built-in, interchangeable phono preamps. They even work wirelessly with high-quality Bluetooth speaker systems.

Built-in Bluetooth aptX HD allows you to separate Alva from the rest of your hi-fi devices. With the freedom to place an Alva deck on any flat surface, your records take centre stage. Your music can be streamed to any Bluetooth equipment, including headphones, at up to 24bit/48kHz high resolution. Or you can turn it off and simply use phono cables - it's up to you.

Alva TT V2 has a built-in phono pre-amp (phono preamp), inspired by our award-winning Alva Duo, to reveal incredible detail from your records. This means you can connect the TT V2 to any compatible speaker system or amplifier. You can also disable the phono preamp on the tape deck, useful if your amp already has one, or to leave your upgrade options open.

The Alva TT V2's custom cartridge is already installed, so there's no complicated setup, and it sounds great with the turntable's other components. We have designed a high-performance moving coil (MC) cartridge with an exposed cantilever. It reduces unwanted resonance and vibration, delivers high-level performance and extraordinary musical nuances during playback.

The Alva TT V2 has a medium torque direct drive motor, like its predecessor, the TT. The motor is an 8-pole, 3-phase, quartz-controlled brushless DC motor to ensure precise turntable speed. With precision control and quiet operation, the Alva TT V2 achieves only 0.06% jitter and tremolo. This results in excellent tuning stability, especially during longer, sustained musical notes.

To complement the direct-drive motor, the Alva TT V2's platter looks like an excellently polished stone. It is made of polyoxymethylene, a semi-crystalline thermoplastic used in precision engineering applications requiring high hardness and dimensional stability. The weight of the tray, combined with our medium torque direct drive motor ensures excellent speed stability during disc playback.

After many hours of testing, our engineers selected a new low-resonance, high-volume tone arm for the Alva TT V2 and Alva ST. By reducing resonance frequencies, and combined with the capsule, it brings out the maximum detail from your records. A removable die-cast aluminium cover makes it easy to change cartridges, and it tunes with greater precision thanks to the anti-slip device.

A record collection can last a lifetime, so why shouldn't a turntable? We've built the Alva TT V2 to last, starting with a 6mm aluminium top platter, and a layer of EVA to absorb vibration from the MDF cabinet. It is attached to an integrated chassis and weighs about 10.9 kg. A solid and reliable construction with high acoustic quality.

Finished with a lunar grey aluminium top plate and a matt black plinth, which tapers down to our signature movable base, the Alva TT V2 is a tribute to our classic house style. It's the perfect match for our successful CX Series hi-fi and features a laser-engraved brand logo, just like our Edge Series.
