The HT/1510 Predator active subwoofer set a new benchmark for bass and subwoofer reproduction within its category. Now, the Predator II delivers enhanced performance across every key parameter: an internal 1,000-watt Class AB amplifier with linear power supply and PerfectFilter inputs designed specifically for A/V applications, a new 15" CarbonGlas cone transducer ” (381 mm) that handles substantially higher powers (40%), and an elegant and stylized design never seen before in Home Theater subwoofers.
All this is complemented by compatibility in systems made up of multiple REL subwoofers, which allows the Predator II to be combined with models from the T/x and S ranges of the British firm. Thus, the speaker used maintains the combination of fiberglass, carbon fiber central cap and large voice coil, which allows for the fast, reactive and punchy bass that constitutes the main hallmark of cinematic sound with capital letters.
The Predator II also features massive improvements to the design and build quality of its enclosure, whose proportions are reminiscent of models from REL Acoustics' exclusive Reference range.
