Designed specifically for the Amp Box RS2 stereo power amplifier, this linear power supply is based on an oversized toroidal transformer, which prevents the penetration of interference from the mains signal into the delicate audio components, while the combination of its very low impedance with a generous filtering capacity (40,000 uF) allows it to easily handle any power requirement. Thanks to this, the layering of the soundstage, the darkness of quiet backgrounds and the resolution of fine details are all substantially improved, contributing to the overall performance of the system as a whole. Among the engineering details of this unmistakably audiophile power supply are an isolation transformer with copper-foil shielding, precisely regulated secondary voltage rectification, a soft-start system that prevents inrush current peaks, as well as the use of low ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance) capacitors and the widespread presence of low-noise components with overload protection.
