Moon 820S is the long-awaited power supply that provides an upgrade for some models of the Evolution series. Equipped with two output sets, it is capable of simultaneously powering the following equipment: - 740P preamplifier . - 650D and 750D DACs with CD transport. - 610LP and 810LP phono preamps.
Each output provides DC power to the analogue circuitry (audio) and digital circuitry (driver transport, CD, front panel) via 2 separate and unique XLR type cables. Designed to further elevate the performance of a series of products that already perform stratospherically in their price segment, Moon 820S was created through painstaking research and development, creative ingenuity and a passion for perfection.
Features:
- Two proprietary designed toroidal transformers Moon with minimal magnetic, electrical and thermal loss, producing improved power transfer and lower regulation factor. The result is higher current speed and better energy dynamics for each of the analogue and digital sources.
- Special "pi-type" filters (2 for each analogue and digital source) located after the initial voltage rectification stage using 40,000 uF of capacitance and inductance per double inductor (2 x 20 mH).
- Each of the analogue and digital sources have 4 stages of M-R2S circuitry: A fully discrete voltage regulation circuit with "reference precision" feeding an amplifier via numerous integrated circuits and transistors, as opposed to a single voltage regulation chip.
- Exceptionally fast, precise, pure DC power M-R2S outputs with minimal, virtually negligible noise level as well as a totally stable voltage.
- 4-layer PCBs with extremely low impedance pure copper traces with much shorter signal paths and drastically reduced noise levels.
- Ultra-rigid chassis capable of minimising the effects of external vibrations.
- Precise fit of supreme quality electronic components on a symmetrical circuit design.
- Designed for optimum starting performance.
