It delivers 50 watts continuous into 8 ohms or 90 watts continuous into 4 ohms via closed-loop switched amplifier stages, which have been carefully matched with robust power supplies to deliver a level of performance rarely achieved in distributed audio systems. As custom system electronics, the MI1250 has dimensions that make it easy to install, while its 2U height allows it, in combination with standard supplied adapters, to be mounted in a standard rack. In addition, the highly efficient amplification scheme employed means that the new multi-channel power amplifier from McIntosh does not require potentially noisy fans to maintain its rated operating temperature. The MI1250 is rounded off by robust electronic protection from McIntosh's unique Power Guard and Sentry Monitor systems.
