Designed specifically to extract the maximum juice from the monophonic microgroove recordings that first saw the light of day around 1950, the 2M Mono is a monophonic capsule that takes advantage of the advances introduced in the 2M series to deliver sonic restitution with unique clarity.
To achieve this, it features an 18 um spherical stylus that provides an optimal solution for playing mono vinyl records with microgrooves thanks to the use of an innovative signal generation scheme developed by Ortofon that allows the same output signal to be delivered to either of the two available pairs of connectors.
This effectively eliminates the need to use specific designs for mono systems, making it possible to fully enjoy true mono sound reproduction with any stereo equipment.
