Invisible loudspeaker
The mid-range model in JBL's Conceal range is a very high performance 'invisible' loudspeaker with an airtight enclosure for custom installations. It is based on a single panel design with a high rigidity frame that houses the loudspeakers and components normally found in a conventional flush-mount wall/ceiling loudspeaker.
The frame attaches directly to the wall/ceiling structure, while the front of the speaker - a JBL-exclusive FidelityGlass panel with a compression-moulded baffle foundation - incorporates a smooth, robust surface that has been designed to be finished in a manner similar to the surrounding environment.
In terms of acoustic configuration, the Conceal uses a carefully considered combination of transducers working in tandem with the FidelityGlass acoustic panel, namely a tweeter, a midrange speaker and a 203 mm diameter woofer with integrated back box to reproduce the low frequencies. The combination of these custom-designed speakers with a very high quality crossover filter allows the Conceal C83 to exhibit a sound quality comparable to that of the best traditional in-ceiling speaker systems.
