stereo amplifier

Luxury sound
Using NAD HybridDigital UcD amplification technology, the C 3050 features 100W per channel of continuous power and 135W peak power for seamless reproduction of even the most demanding passages. Noise and distortion are virtually non-existent across the entire bandwidth, achieving neutral, distortion-free sound at any speaker load and even at high volumes. The powerful digital section is provided by the Texas Instruments PCM5242 High Resolution Differential DAC, a design recognized for its excellent dynamics and immunity to jitter to ensure that all digital sources are reproduced accurately, clearly and a breathtaking acoustic scene is achieved.

The MDC2 Advantage
The NAD C 3050 features the latest generation of MDC2 anti-obsolescence technology. The second generation of Model Design Construction allows users to add new functionality by inserting compatible modules into the rear panel. The optional MDC2 BluOS-D module offers two exciting features: high-resolution BluOS music streaming and Dirac Live room correction.

Plug & Play
With its full catalog of analog and digital inputs, the C 3050 has room for multiple sources. Inputs include ultra-low-noise MM phono input for turntables, HDMI eARC, coaxial, digital optical and a pair of line-level analogue inputs. Users can connect two pairs of speakers with the A/B switch, as well as a subwoofer.

The C 3050 also has a dedicated headphone amplifier, pre-out jack to connect to a more powerful amplifier, or the option to be used alone as a preamplifier. The C 3050 includes an IR remote control and has functions designed for installers such as 12V trigger and IR output.

Optional streamer/multiroom module

The MDC2 BluOS-D expansion module allows you to add DIRAC Live Room correction and integration into the BluOS streaming ecosystem to modular design NAD devices.

The MDC2 BluOS-D is the first expansion module offered by NAD to add Dirac Live* room correction to a two-channel component. Owners use the supplied calibrated microphone and the intuitive Dirac Live app to analyze the acoustics of their room, then load the correction filters into the MDC2 BluOS-D module. The MDC2 BluOS-D module can store up to five Dirac profiles for different listening positions and room conditions, for example whether the curtains are open or closed.

In addition to correcting peaks and dips in frequency response, Dirac Live optimizes impulse response by learning how sounds are reflected from different surfaces in the listening space. The result is a dramatic improvement in bass clarity, imaging and timbral accuracy in music and movie soundtracks.

The MDC2 BluOS-D module also features BluOS high-resolution music streaming. Available for iOS, macOS, Android and Windows, the flexible BluOS Controller app provides access to hundreds of Internet radio stations and more than 20 streaming services. Like all BluOS products, the MDC2 BluOS-D module supports high-resolution playback up to 24-bit/192kHz, as well as MQA. With the MDC2 BluOS-D module, users can share music from any source connected to the host component with up to 63 BluOS-enabled components on the same network. Playback can also be controlled using Alexa or Google voice commands, and from smart home control systems from Crestron, Control4, Lutron, RTI and others.

The MDC2 BluOS-D module not only includes the latest Wi-Fi and Ethernet protocols, but also supports Apple AirPlay2, Spotify Connect and Tidal Connect, and features two-way Qualcomm aptX HD Bluetooth. There's also a USB port for playing music from a connected USB drive. With an MDC2 BluOS-D module installed, MDC2-capable components can play music from a wide range of local, network and cloud sources. And thanks to its two-way communications architecture, MDC2 is prepared for technology upgrades that have not yet been conceived.
