In the Marantz CD 60, the unique HDAM circuitry has been further optimised compared to its previous version by placing the components symmetrically on the audio board and creating a more direct signal path. This upgrade improves the sound stage of previous models in pursuit of the most musical sound.
The power supply of the Marantz CD 60 uses high-speed, high-current Shottky barrier diodes, storage capacitors with superior current handling capability and improved voltage regulators over previous models in the same class. The use of oversized capacitors in the power supply improves current stability and reduces the noise level during highly demanding listening sessions.
In addition to CDs, the CD 60 can play MP3, WMA, AAC and WAV, FLAC HD, ALAC, AIFF (up to 24-bit/192 kHz) and DSD (up to 5'6 MHz) files from a USB storage device connected to its front port.
