The Triangle Borea BR08 is a 3-way, 4-driver column loudspeaker, redesigning one of the most popular hi-fi compositions.
New features include a new 25 mm EFS fabric dome tweeter; a new 16 cm midrange with a completely renewed profile, based on the natural cellulose pulp research used in Esprit Ez; and two new 16 cm glass fibre woofers.
Their 3-way configuration transcribes all frequencies without interference between the drivers, restoring an accurate sound to vocals and instruments. These loudspeakers fit perfectly in rooms with a floor space of 20 to 40 m2.
The Borea range features a tweeter with the Efficient Flow System. It is based on the association of a 25 mm fabric dome, renowned for its neutrality, with a phase part specifically developed to homogenise the diffusion of high frequencies.
The diaphragm is housed inside a horn driver which limits edge effects and allows a clear and clean reproduction of the high frequencies. This transducer is powered by a neodymium motor which generates high magnetic power in a small space. It is coupled to a heat sink that ensures better power handling.
In a constant quest for excellence, the cone profile has been specifically modified to increase rigidity and improve frequency response. On the 3-way columns, the mid-range features a small pleated suspension true to the brand. Very rigid and perfectly adapted to the low-travel loudspeaker, it allows perfect control of the movement of the moving assembly and thus provides an accurate transcription of vocals.
For the design of the Triangle Borea BR08 loudspeakers, thorough research has been carried out in order to reduce the internal vibration related to the cabinets. All models in the Borea range have internal panels fretworked in MDF and EVA foam, which reinforces the transducer/cabinet pair.
The DVAS system significantly reduces loudspeaker vibrations and reinforces this notion of neutrality and clarity in listening. This results in a more accurate listening experience without colouration or structure-borne noise.
Each loudspeaker in the Borea range has its own decoupling system. The bookshelf or centre speakers are delivered with rubber pads, which protect the bottom of the speakers on one side and limit the transmission of vibrations on the other.
As for the columns, they have a base for added stability on which four inserts allow the installation of decoupling spikes. Rubber pads are also provided if the floor does not allow the use of spikes.
All speakers in the Borea range have a magnetic protective cover that leaves no inserts or screws visible and gives the whole an impressive aesthetic appearance with a perfect colour match.
