The Thorens TAB1600 absorbent base was specially developed to optimize the performance of turntables or any electronics with moving parts that could transmit electro-mechanical vibrations. Made of an MDF base plate, which is further attenuated by a layer of fabric, it is combined with an acoustic foam in sandwich construction. This unique combination highly efficiently decouples the turntable, thus preventing acoustic feedback.
