The Thorens TD 1600 combines the brand’s heritage with 21st-century technology XXI.Externamente. Much like the famous earlier 160 series, it features a classic wooden plinth, a two-piece platter with an internal belt and thick rubber mat, a tonearm board and an acrylic dust cover, it features many innovations on the inside. The conical springs for the sub-chassis are no longer mounted on the top plate, but are positioned at the inferior.Adem end; a small (but tightly secured) steel thread connects the sub-chassis to a steel pin at the bottom, preventing the sub-chassis from wobbling and allowing only vertical movement. A powerful control unit regulates the motor speed.
