Distinguished electronics that, thanks to the extreme flexibility of its design, allows the user to simultaneously enjoy musical content with high sound quality in multiple zones.
Combining the characteristics of a preamp and an audio matrix in a single chassis, the CR106 is designed to be associated with power amplifiers that in turn will be connected to speakers in each room (both conventional and in-wall or in-ceiling), thus creating a sound system distributed in several rooms of the house, what we call a multi-room or multi-zone system.
In keeping with its status as a state-of-the-art device, the CR106 can be controlled by the free Connect app at McIntosh, via a web interface or with the controls and buttons on the front panel, without any programming.
Each zone includes 2 sets of unbalanced RCA outputs and 2 sets of subwoofer outputs, making it possible to listen to music with 4 speakers and 2 subwoofers in a single zone. Furthermore, dedicated trigger signal sockets enable synchronised on/off functionality with compatible components McIntosh.
Finally, this compact product can be easily installed in standard A/V equipment racks (brackets are supplied as standard), requiring only a 2U mounting height.
