With dimensions that allow it to occupy the same floor space as the MA252 integrated amplifier, the MC830 is a monophonic power amplifier with a DC-coupled circuit design, enabling it to deliver 300 watts continuous into 8 ohms or 450 watts continuous into 4 ohms.
Another highlight of this superb amplifier is the new direct LED backlighting, plus two of McIntosh 's unmistakable Monogrammed Heatsinks to optimise the dissipation of excess calories generated by the output transistors, while on the rear panel are two of McIntosh's versatile Solid Cinch connection terminals.
The MC830 also features the effective Power Guard system to prevent potential audio clipping/clipping from damaging the loudspeakers in the cabinet, as well as Sentry Monitor, an extremely fast protection circuit that disables the output stage to prevent current from exceeding safe operating limits.
