The MC303 is the most opulent multi-channel power amplifier in McIntosh's current line-up. Designed to power the front left, centre and right channels of a very high-performance home theatre system, it is equipped with the company's signature Autoformer transformers, which allow it to maintain full power delivery (300 watts continuous per channel) to the associated speakers, regardless of whether the speaker impedance is 8, 4 or 2 ohms.
The MC303 shares many of the most advanced technologies found in other amplifiers from McIntosh, such as the effective Power Guard protection system, which is designed to prevent audio clipping/clipping from damaging the loudspeakers in the cabinet, and the advanced Sentry Monitor, an extremely fast protection circuit that shuts down the output stage to prevent current from exceeding safe operating limits.
The MC303 is completed by the iconic treated glass front panel featuring three of McIntosh's legendary blue-backed analogue VU meters.
