Ideal for completing both distributed sound and Hi-Fi/Home Cinema systems, the MI254 is a four-channel power amplifier equipped with highly efficient and sophisticated closed-loop digital switching technology, complemented by robust power supplies to ensure a very high level of performance.
Designed for rack mounting, the MI254 features the iconic blue-backed analogue level indicators from McIntosh that display the sum of the power delivered by channels 1 and 2 on one side and 3 and 4 on the other, while LED indicators inform about the operating status of each channel.
Another important feature of the MI254 is the new Loudspeaker Guard overload protection technology from McIntosh, in addition to the classic Sentry Monitor from the US company, which deactivates the output stage before the current exceeds safe operating limits.
As a power amplifier for custom installations, the MI254 includes several external control options, as well as a sensor for automatic on/off.
