The Ether 2 is a new generation circumaural headphone with open back headphones that, thanks to the profound improvements it brings with respect to its predecessor, the renowned Ether, becomes the new flagship of the "planar" headphones of Dan Clark Audio. Specifically, the Ether 2 incorporates a new transducer, a new magnetic motor, a new transducer support panel and a new headband (made of Synthetic Protein), all designed to combine with the highest possible level of synergy and without forgetting, of course, the comfort and convenience that characterise the achievements of Dan Clark Audio. As far as the magnet motor is concerned, it has been designed around the American firm's exclusive "TrueFlow" technology, so that instead of designing the latter to match the magnet motor, the reverse has been done, resulting in a substantial improvement in terms of linearity, dynamics and level of detail. Also, the Ether 2 are 90 grams lighter than their predecessors, the Ether, making them the lightest headphones in their class on the market.
