The Bluesound BSP500 loudspeaker is an active networked loudspeaker with integrated streaming and multi-room capability, designed specifically for use in commercial installations, both indoors and outdoors indoors.
This unit is PoE powered with a Cat6 ethernet cable, allowing a single cable connection to the loudspeaker for both power and audio.
The BSP500 player is based on the established BluOS platform and is capable of playing and distributing content from local network storage, as well as from a host of streaming services, including some designed specifically for commercial use, such as SoundMachine, Custom Channels, QSIC, SiriusXM Music for Business, Tunify and radio stations.
In addition to stand-alone use, it is possible to use a pair of BSP500 speakers in stereo configuration and multiple BSP500s in a room in both mono and stereo configuration. It is also possible to use the BSP500 in a larger BluOS system, allowing it to be grouped in user-definable clusters of any size required with other BSP500 units and/or any other Bluesound players, amplified players or networked network speakers in a facility.
This loudspeaker features a 5.25" low frequency woofer and a 1" high frequency tweeter, powered by a high efficiency amplifier including a low power standby mode. The frequency response of the loudspeaker is 63 Hz to 23 kHz and the total harmonic distortion (THD+N) of the system is 0.095 % at full rated power.
Access to content and power is via wired Ethernet for seamless transmission. High efficiency electronics and drivers provide a maximum SPL of 100 dB (via PoE++).
The speaker can be controlled from any Windows/Mac computer, as well as from any iOS/Android phone or tablet and the wall-mounted keypad Bluesound Professional CP100, Rythum or any of the leading home automation systems. Security measures prevent unauthorised control of the system.
Integrated bracket allows wall mounting with 90 degree swivel and 170 degree rotation. Its IP65 rating allows it to be used both indoors and outdoors under cover from sun and rain withstanding wet environments very well.
