The Cadenza Red is a very high performance moving coil (MC) based pickup capsule that reflects the latest advances of Ortofon in exploring the limits of vinyl record grooves. The Cadenza Red features a Fine Line Nude stylus with a cylindrical aluminium cantilever. The radius ratio of the stylus tip is r/R 8/40 um, while the coil windings are made of pure silver 6N conductors (99.9999% pure). An improved winding process in the armature allows the Cadenza Red to exhibit a better balance between channels, thus contributing to a wider and more accurate stereo image.
Thanks to its special configuration, this exquisite pick-up capsule provides a more relaxed, homogeneous and moderately dynamic sound aesthetic compared to the Cadenza Blue while exhibiting a high level of spaciousness and depth in the sound image. On the other hand, the Cadenza Red's output level ensures compatibility with a wide range of high quality phono preamplifiers, as well as all types of high performance tone arms.
