Thus, it incorporates a power amplification section configured in the exclusive Class AD of the Asian company, which highlights the use of latest generation FET devices based on Gallium Nitride (GaN), which combines the efficiency of Class D with the smoothness and warmth of a traditional analog amplifier. To this we must add another key subsystem: a power supply in which Silicon Carbide field effect transistors (FET) are used instead of conventional Silicon ones, in order to increase efficiency and stability.
In this way, the RA280 is capable of delivering a high power output while minimizing heat generation, regardless of the impedance value of the speakers used. Equally refined is the phono section, compatible with moving magnet (MM) capsules and equipped with a sophisticated, very precise compensation circuit to minimize coloration.
