The original NAD 3020 introduced a generation of music lovers to true hi-fi sound. In the 1970s, more than a million people rediscovered their music when they placed a NAD 3020 between their turntable and speakers. This little gem outperformed amps costing 10 times as much with its big, warm, detailed sound. Nowadays, the source is more likely to be a computer or smartphone than a CD player but the ability to choose speakers that perfectly suit your tastes remains a compelling argument for trusting an NAD amplifier. The D 3020 maintains the original NAD exemption and brings it directly into the 21st century using the latest digital technology. Now with version V2, we've refined the look and added a Phono input for vinyl playback.

The D 3020 V2 offers inputs for your digital and analog sources. Coaxial and optical inputs allow many different digital sources to be connected, from CD and DVD players, to top boxes, to media players such as AppleTV or cable and satellite receivers. There are also analogue inputs including a sophisticated MM Phono input. Far from being just another set of sockets, this Phono stage includes high-precision RIAA equalization, an Infrasonic warping filter, and features high overdrive margins and extremely low noise. We have also added a preamp output for possible connection with any power amp.Ç

The power output may sound small at 30W per channel, but like all NAD amplifiers, this is very misleading, as a properly designed 30W amplifier can sound superior to a 100W amplifier from a lesser brand. With its very small form factor, the D 3020 V2 will amaze many with its ability to drive difficult speakers at satisfactory levels without adding noise or distortion. The D 3020 V2 lives up to this promise through a unique implementation of NAD PowerDrive™ that enables a low impedance (current) drive and high dynamic power (voltage) at very low distortion levels. This PowerDrive refinement combined with a precision smooth clipping circuit, allows the D 3020 to sound even more powerful than it already is. An innovative Bass EQ circuit helps small speakers sound big without overdriving or damaging ported woofers.

The D 3020 V2 offers the convenience of wireless streaming with its low compression rate Bluetooth. Stream all your music from a mobile phone, tablet or computer. The D 3020 V2 supports even the highest quality Bluetooth audio, apt-X, which is increasingly popular for its excellent sound quality and low power consumption compared to Wi-Fi.

The D 3020 V2's highly efficient design wastes less energy, requiring only 20% of the power required by traditional hi-fi amplifiers. It's like trading in a gas-guzzling car for a hybrid vehicle.
