The E-Glo I 2 is a 100 per cent tube electronics that combines state-of-the-art, sound-friendly technologies with techniques as popular with traditional audiophiles as point-to-point wired connections.
For example, the new EAT integrated system incorporates a type of volume control based on relay-based attenuators with independent blocks for each channel, which until now could only be found in much more expensive products.
Another key element, the transformer used in the output section of each channel, has also been given special attention in the E-Glo I 2 . Thus, the core of this critical component is made of Permalloy, an alloy of iron (20%) and nickel (80%), with a high initial permeability that ensures superior inductance even on low-level signals, with all that this entails in terms of bass realism at low volume levels.
At the same time, it allows a lower number of windings to be used, resulting in a lower impedance and a higher damping factor, thus widening the range of compatible loudspeakers.
Of the E-Glo I 2 it should be noted that it uses a newly designed circuit topology in pure Class A and KT-88 power valves which also allows the user to switch instantly between ultralinear and triode modes of operation.
