STAX is a company founded in 1938. In 1959 it developed the world's first electrostatic headphone and introduced the SR-1 in 1960. Today, STAX continues its legacy by offering the most sophisticated headphones for both professional and audiophile use.
STAX calls its headphones Earspeakers. They are so named because of their Ultra Hi-Fi music reproduction, which can only be compared to the quality of loudspeakers, rather than other headphones.
Once you get into the world of electrostatics, few turn back.
The SRM-T8000 is STAX's top level of electrostatic amplification. It features hybrid technology, 6922 tubes and Class A output. Its toroidal transformers and selected parts deliver a very refined sound.
