Despite its obvious aesthetic similarity to the original model, the new Aida is the fruit of a complete overhaul involving state-of-the-art electro-acoustic developments. This means that the lessons learned in the development of the original model have been completely reinterpreted and improved in this revolutionary and exclusive loudspeaker.
Thus, at the configuration level we have a 32/3-way system with "Stealth Ultraflex" port, which allows for better bass extension while minimising distortion and eliminating parasitic vibrations due to the passage of air through the reflex duct. As with the original model, the cabinet uses the iconic Sonus Faber lyre shape, complemented by the Anima Legata system, Tuned Mass Dampers and a revision of the unique Bow spring suspension, which houses the sophisticated Zero Vibration Transmission scheme, all designed to keep both the cabinet and the musical environment free of unwanted resonance and vibration.
Despite this spectacular array of unique technologies, perhaps the most radical of the changes incorporated into the new Aida is the choice of loudspeakers employed. Directly inherited from the monumental "out-of-parameter" loudspeaker The Sonus Faber, the "Sound Field Shaper" technology is also part of the new Aida. Specifically, it is a system that uses attenuated rear-emission loudspeakers that allow precise control of the dimensionality and perceived size of the soundstage.
The result is a loudspeaker enclosure of presence, build quality and dazzling finishes that will shine brightly in the most exclusive equipment, with the addition of a new Wengé finish also standing out.
