A carefully updated version of the ML1, McIntosh's first loudspeaker, the ML1 MkII perfectly blends vintage aesthetics inspired by its celebrated predecessor with state-of-the-art technology,

this elegant and impeccably crafted super-monitor loudspeaker with dedicated floor stand, sealed enclosure and four-way, five-driver configuration is capable of delivering exceptional performance in the restoration of all genres of music.

Specifically, it features a 305 mm (12") polypropylene cone woofer, two 102 mm (4") polypropylene cone midwoofers, a 51 mm (2") soft dome midtweeter and one of the sophisticated 19 mm (0.75") titanium dome tweeters used in the spectacular XR50 and XR100 loudspeakers from the legendary New York company.

Among the relevant technical refinements of this driver package is the woofer's magnetic circuit, called Low Distortion High Performance (LD/HP), which substantially reduces distortion while increasing power handling capacity and efficiency to provide performance comparable to that of a design twice as large.

Another key feature of the ML1 MkII is the metal plate on which the three midrange speakers and tweeter are symmetrically positioned, an astuteness that allows them to be very close together, resulting in a very accurate sound image and an extraordinarily wide soundstage.
