The ultra-compact speaker of the Diamond 12 series, the Diamond 12.0 features the same technology as its older brothers, but is designed for small-sized hi-fi systems, or even as a compact high-performance satellite speaker in home theater systems. The Diamond 12.0 features a high-performance 100mm Klarity driver that delivers surprising bass depth for its size, while the gorgeous 25mm woven polyester dome tweeter delivers smoothly extended, open high frequencies.

It also incorporates a Precision magnet system with an aluminum compensation ring to minimize the effect of variations in inductance as the voice coil travels. This contributes to the absence of distortion and intermodulation generated by the "motor system". The voice coil is wound on a high power fiberglass/epoxy coil very unusual in speakers at this price level. This has the advantage of not adding eddy currents and offering greater power handling than an aluminum coil, while also being much stiffer than the Kapton type associated with this price class.
