The Spike Shoe Extreme is a high mass multiple resonance diffuser that transfers energy almost through a minimal contact point. The main design objective is to channel all resonance energy as effectively and directly as possible by using the correct design philosophies combined with the use of materials.
Two systems work in parallel. The first seeks to drain all resonance from the cabinet or loudspeaker as quickly as possible, with high efficiency, through a 3-simplex concept. These vibrations are then neutralised within the device through the use of a unique chaotic composite, which is designed with materials at opposite ends of the elastic spectrum, so that resonance is eliminated and cancelled out over a wider frequency range. Through this unique design process, Spike Shoe Extreme does not possess a tonal signature or characteristic, it does not change the sound of an audio system, but simply expands the soundstage with more air and space. Microdynamics are also improved and bass is extended with greater articulation in the lower frequency range.
The outer shell of the Spike Shoe Extreme is precision machined from solid stainless steel known for its high tensile strength, durability and corrosion resistance. Its three-dimensional shape is designed to react to any vibration like an inverted bell, possessing a very neutral and short resonance time.
Spike Shoe Extreme is sold in sets of 4 and each has a point load of over 100kg. They can be used with all speaker systems as well as under spiked components.
