In order to create the most natural and realistic image possible, the MX180 supports the most advanced variants of the HDR ecosystem, namely Static HDR, Dynamic HDR, HDR10+, HLG and Dolby Vision, which ensure optimised content display in terms of depth, detail, brightness, contrast and colour. On the audio side, McIntosh 's new A/V preamp/processor supports the most popular 3D audio systems of the moment - Dolby Atmos, DTS:X Pro and Auro-3D included - while one of its HDMI outputs supports ARC and eARC. When it comes to traditional surround sound, the MX180 supports formats such as DTS-HD Master Audio or Dolby TrueHD to ensure true high-resolution sound in the most complex multi-channel systems.
