Many large amplifiers have a really annoying mechanical hum emitted from the transformer itself. You can hear it when you put your ear close to the chassis. This is caused by a small amount of DC voltage in the mains supply reaching the mains transformer, "saturating" it and starting to produce the annoying hum. The DC Blocker is an intelligent DC blocker that is placed in the IEC (at the rear power input of the amplifier or power amplifier) and, as the name suggests, prevents DC from entering the device, thus eliminating the problem, preserving the EMI shielding against magnetic interference and without affecting the safety of the equipment. The larger the amplifier, usually the larger the transformer, which is susceptible to residual DC voltage, with the DC Blocker you can avoid this.
