A direct consequence of the great commercial success of the sleek E-Flat turntable, the C-Sharp raises the bar even higher in terms of ultra-slim profile, aesthetic elegance and technological sophistication thanks to the use of new materials such as carbon fiber and rubbers or thermoplastic elastomers (a highly absorbent material that is also known by the acronym TPE). Thus, the engine - a design with extremely low operating noise - is mounted inside an ultra-thin chassis made of very high-density MDF, to which are added 10 sophisticated thermoplastic elastomer absorbent feet.
On the other hand, the conical TPE columns support a subframe with a sandwich structure that combines carbon fiber and MDF to constitute the ultimate in rigidity, the latter parameter of fundamental importance in a reference turntable. In this way, any possible vibration of the plate / shaft assembly is sent to the TPE columns, which, in turn, prevents any unwanted energy from the engine or the surrounding environment (a vibration of acoustic origin, for example) from reaching the subframe or even the delicate arm / capsule assembly. Regarding the crucial turning system, the C-Sharp incorporates an oversized shaft combined with an acoustically inert and resonance-free ceramic bearing on the top.
This configuration, again, makes it possible to establish a robust ground point in order to absorb all the excess energy present in the surroundings of the assembly. For its part, the plate is made of a special combination of highly inert aluminum and TPE absorption elements inserted in it. Of the new EAT reference turntable, it should also be noted that it uses a special antistatic rubber strap, as well as an absolutely innovative tone arm that combines all the advantages of a unipivot type with those of a gimbal type. Regarding the C-Sharp's arm, it should be noted that it is made of carbon fiber - which provides it with equal parts robustness and high rigidity - while the capsule holder uses a particularly light and rigid type of aluminum. that allows combining the advantages of carbon with the best internal damping of aluminum, as well as facilitating an optimal assembly of the most delicate pickups.
Finally, let us point out that the C-Sharp is accompanied by an external direct current power supply based on an alternating current generator, which allows to maximize the cleanliness of the signal sent to the motors. Also, the available rotational speeds - 33 and 45 rpm - are electronically selected from a separate control panel.
